Business Development

The implementation of the platform identified significant limitations in sharing resources between different use cases, e.g. for SMB, NFS and S3 capacity. The Scality team insisted on allocating specific resources for each case, effectively carving up the platform in 3 platforms, for each of the storage services. This causes inefficiencies in the operation and increased life cycle management capacity as the distribution of staroge across the different domains changes over time. 

The S3 bucket can't be synchronized / archived ot the cloud. The XDM component identified for this has significant bugs and limitations which will not be resolved before 2023. For our use case the XDM component is useless until that time.

Scality Ring provides a cots effective for storing large volume of data. It's architecture is designed in such a way that all the commodity networks are connected with each other. The tool has definitely helped us in scaling our data usage.
