I am not a fan of HID's expensive pricing. They are not cheap and I know their competitors offer a version that is a fraction of the cost. HID will say they are using the latest cutting edge technology but they do spend a lot in marketing so I am sure that is why their pricing structure is what it is. HID also doesn't have a way to buy their product that is not in bulk. You must buy HID products in QTY's of 50, 100, 200, etc. You cannot just add on a random number which leads to buying more products than you really use and this can lead to budget waste. HID doesn't do a good job staying on government contracts so if you need to procure HID on a contract vehicle, this will be a challenge. They don't have a ton of options to be on a contract which leads to their pricing being higher than their competiton.
