The integrated system market has four segments: integrated infrastructure system, integrated reference architecture, integrated stack system and hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) segment. The overall HCI segment is further subdivided into Hyperconverged Integrated Systems (HCIS), which provides both software and hardware in an appliance model and the software only segment in which vendors provide the Hyperconverged software. This is then integrated with HW by a reseller or the end customer.

Die ODAx11 ist im Prinzip intuitiv zu administrieren. Die ODA ist schnell und verlässlich. Wermutstropfen sind die Tatsache, dass es im Umfeld von Dataguard immer noch viele Bugs gibt. So funktioniert die BUI bezüglich Dataguard schon seit vielen Versionen nicht. Langsam sollte es doch gelöst sein. Auch auf Kommand-Ebene (odacli) gibt es noch viele Stolpersteine. In Bezug auf Dataguard muss ich sagen, dass das Produkt nicht ausgereicht bzw. auf einer Ebene ist , dieses Produkt im produktiven Umfeld zu nutzen. Ohne die Hile von einem sehr hilfsbereiten Oracle Supporter (Hagen Herbst) wäre ein DG Betrieb nicht möglich!

The ODAx11 is, in principle, intuitive to administer. The ODA is fast and reliable. The downside is the fact that there are still many bugs in the Dataguard environment. For example, the BUI hasn't worked with Dataguard for many versions. This should really be fixed by now. There are also still many stumbling blocks at the command level (odacli). Regarding Dataguard, I have to say that the product isn't sufficient, or rather, it's not at a level suitable for use in a production environment. Without the help of a very helpful Oracle supporter (Hagen Herbst), Dataguard operation would not be possible!

Has not been a good experience so far. Trying to integrate identity management into our SaaS product using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure has been troublesome.

ODA has provided us with an extremely stable and administratively efficient platform to consolidate our Oracle Database workloads.  The ODA Appliance Software makes patching extremely straightforward - the DBA team can singlehandedly and autonomously manage OS (Linux), Firmware, DB and GI patching and making use of Data Guard means this is almost undetectable by the business - just a few seconds of downtime.

Business users appreciate not only the stable uptime but also the performance provided by the SSD storage.  Database provisioning is fast and standardised.  The ODA Product Management team is incredibly engaged and receptive to feedback.  The product is actively developed and new features to further improve the product for DBAs and business are frequently released.

The hardware itself is robust - hardware faults are extremely rare and can be resolved quickly, and again autonomously, by the DBA team.  Single vendor support assists greatly with this.  Capacity on Demand also makes it an extremely financially efficient platform to license.

We would not want to host business critical Oracle database workloads on any other platform.
