What I like most about Azure Virtual WAN is the elegant simplification of global transit networking combined with its developer-friendly automation capabilities. It transforms what used to be a highly complex, fragmented network topology into a unified 'single pane of glass.' From an engineering perspective, the standout feature is the robust support for Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Being able to deploy global hubs, configure complex routing intents, and inject security via Azure Firewall (Secured Virtual Hubs) using Terraform or Bicep is a game-changer. Furthermore, the out-of-the-box 'any-to-any' connectivityseamlessly routing traffic between VNets, branch offices (SD-WAN/VPN), and remote users without the need to manually manage massive routing tablessaves us countless hours of administrative work and significantly reduces the margin for human error.

Route propagation and general external connections are quite challenging when the request is off the beaten path. It seems that the aim was not for a large corporation, although many are looking for multi-cloud solutions making vWAN a necessity
