An MXDP is an opinionated, integrated set of front-end development tools and “backend for frontend” (BFF) capabilities. We had a not so positive experience with Firebase. It was the primary no SQL store for some of the real time front end apps we were building and the struggle with maintaining and scaling Firebase added a lot of overhead.
