Overall Comment:"Workfront took so long to get used to, but now it is fulfilling our business needs; but I still feel like it could improve in some areas. It is great to keep track on a per project basis, very easy to create tasks. The hard part was learning all the intricacies of the product."
They have great reporting options. It is very easy to create dashboards and it holds a lot of information. This is great because you can look at the status of every project, or organize it by individuals as well. The program is very good in its waterfall design, it updates very quickly once a task is completed, you will see the overall percentage of project go up. Also, the status warning on a project is accurate, if you see your project get into the at risk phase, it is time to step it up.
It took a lot of time to get used to. They do offer trainings, but I think they should do a better job of recommending trainings based on your role. Also we had a hard time incorporating it into our tech support tickets.
We needed a tool to manage our projects, get us reporting on different KPI's related to projects and also have visibility into every projects status.
Provide better training for our own employees. We told them to take the trainings by workfront; but, we should of just trained the individual departments on sections that they needed to know and how they could get the most out of the tool.
There are a lot of options out there, look at the one that will fit your business needs. You should also have more than one Admin/Expert for Workfront. Hold trainings for each department and tell them how to get the most out of the tool.
