Read Full ReviewBeing able to cut out our standalone VPN so that field users could, instead, leverage the integrated VPN through Island was an incredible step in simplifying their workflow and minimizing their barrier to beginning work. While other password managers have floated through, the lack of anything truly anchoring it to our process left it more as an option for the user's preference. Integrating the password manager into our secure browser helps tremendously with providing uniformity for the user experience and removes some hurdles from collaboration with secure sharing. Island's AI Assistant has also been a fantastic resource in providing some of the answers to easier inquiries users may have without having to dread submitting a work order and waiting for it to be resolved. It's placing the power for the user to take charge of finding out answers so, at the very least, it's a more informed request being placed than it would have been.

While the customization that can be done for site access is incredibly immense, it seems like there is quite a bit of legwork on the backend required to smooth over the entire process. I'm unfamiliar with the admin setup required, but some sites with earlier-version IE dependencies had problems with loading site content consistently. There were no glaring issues aside from the trouble with pinning down a setup that would allow sites that require backwards compatibility to load, which is understandable, especially given how much of the site was able to be loaded.
