Although it did not have the best performance, the BEx on MS Excel was a tool comfortable for the business users. The MS Excel was a tool, that they use every day, and the combination with up-to-date DWH data made their life even easier. With the introduction of the BI Accelerator (the starts of the SAP HANA) , the performance got better.

Too stringent and reluctant for enhancements as suggested by business. Cost and timelines provided exceedingly high.
