Product: Vertex O Series

Unpacking the Cost Challenges of Vertex O Series

Likes and dislikes about

likes

The biggest advantage is the flexibility of setting up tax rules/logic especially compared to native ERP way of using condition records and access sequences. It's also convenient that Vertex O-Series is quite prevalent on the market and so finding an implementation partner / consultant / employee with the skills and experience needed to maintain Vertex O-Series is less of a problem than with other tax engines and add-ons. Added benefit of using Vertex O-Series is that it's also recognized and known by auditors. which may help during different tax health-checks and reviews.

dislikes

Vertex charges a percentage of your total revenue, which means that as our business grows, our tax software bill rises as well. This seems wrong because I am not receiving anything more than what has been offered for the price I am paying.
