Our overall experience with Umbraco has been strictly mediocre.  The Umbraco CMS has a steep learning curve and there is quite a bit of complexity associated with the customization involved with this platform.

Open-source nature and active community are major advantages. The downsides are, of course, upgrades which can be complicated and time-consuming and customizing routing of application
