I'm a web developer that used this product. WP VIP integrates their own custom hooks that integrate with the hosting platform which is great until you want to migrate your website to another host, then those hooks have to be stripped out which can turn into quite a headache.

Up time was very good and I never saw our site go down in the time it was hosted with WP VIP.

Since we've migrated to VIP, we've had significantly less downtime and alerts. There's no substitute for the peace-of-mind a robust infrastructure can provide. To my knowledge, we've had 0 site downtime as a result of the WordPress VIP infrastructure, to the delight of our clients. Additionally, no one is woken up in the middle of the night due to alerts from failing infrastructure. 

Any issues that have arisen are either quickly addressed by their support team or handled by their technical account manager. Our specific setup presented its own unique challenges, but WordPress VIP has been quick to respond to any shortcomings we've found in their platform with prompt updates. 

Now that we're over a year on and settled in, WordPress VIP has remained an invaluable partner. They're constantly helping us keep up on both the cutting edge of WordPress and web development, and we're really excited to continue our partnership in the future.
