I am revisiting our messaging retention thresholds more specifically for email (Google) and instant messaging (Slack). Was curious as to what is generally being used as the threshold for these 2 communications tools (i.e.; 30 days, 6 months, etc.)?Director of IT

We had an event where legal had us put an indefinite hold on all messages (email, IM, etc) and now that has just become the standard. Would like to compare what other organizations are doing and try to get us back to something that doesn't hold messages forever.
