“AT&T Mobility Underperforms at Key Office Location”

1.0
Apr 30, 2025
AT&T Managed Mobility Services does not function properly at one of my main office locations. This is the issue, in detail: One of my offices is on the 74th floor of a building. It has unobstructed views and floor-to-ceiling windows. Our iPhones on AT&T have a STRONG (4/4 Bars) signal at 5Ge speeds at this office location. The issue is, the signals are strong, but the quality of the signal is very poor. This results in dropped or missed calls--despite WiFi Calling and Excellent indoor Mesh WiFI--since phones are programmed to select, if strong enough, the signal of the AT&T tower versus WiFi Calling. Thus, the phones continuously switch between poor quality high strength AT&T Mobility towers and WiFi, resulting sometimes in missed calls where no missed calls are displayed AND failed delivery of voicemail. In other words, a customer could call me and I would have no idea that they had tried to reach me. The issue is compounded by the fact that I was forced to purchase an AT&T Cell Boost which acts as a personal cell tower on an LTE speed. When the iPhone is on my desk with a clear line of sight and no obstructions between it and the Cell Booster, it works 50% of the time because, as I mentioned, the towers send a strong, but poor quality signal, so the phone selects that from outside as opposed to the clean signals generated inside, whether from AT&T Cell Boost, again a mini tower inside my office, or WiFi.
