That is a colaborative tool so everybody can pitch in to add information about all the data and it has a great overall view and the ability to drill through the information on each data piece, add external sources and include information about data quality and freshness.
1. Comprehensive data catalogue in makes it easier to organise and search for data across various sources 2. Role based axis control allows us to manage who can view or edit specific data sets 3. Collaboration features enables users to leave comments and share insights on data assets
I like most that everything is in 1 place. Ownership, documentation, glossary desciptions, insights (through SQL) in one central place.
The learning curve for new users is a bit steep Some features are cost driven, so you have to pay for stuff like AI It has some limits in workflow customization
Firstly, the initial configuration took longer than expected, especially for large data sets. Secondly, integration with external tools sometimes required manual intervention. Lastly, there is limited customisation in reporting, therefore, it could offer more flexibility in report generation
Sometimes the support team takes a lot of time to solve a bug. That being said, the platform does still have bugs, sometimes so essential that we can't use a feature for a week or two. But, I do feel like they release a lot of stuff really fast, so that is nice though.
