I have been using DataDog for the past 3 years as our primary observability platform, mainly for telemetry ingestion and to collect telemetry data from our microservices and cloud infrastructure. The main reason we chose it was because of the wide range of built-in integrations and we don't have to create any custom agents for most of our tools. Data Enrichment such as data tagging, hosting metadata & service maps really helped our on-call engineers save time while dealing with critical incidents.

Gigamon was able to very quickly and accurately explain the technology, how it worked and what additional features we should consider for the systems we would feed the data to, such features as data de-duplication. We knew that the Asset Visibility Systems that we were deploying required network data from a Network Tap, specifically using best practice as in-line taps. Gigamon technology allowed us to enrich the Asset Visibility, Vulnerability Management and IDS System with real time data. Gigamon provides a step by step process for deployment and provides the configurations required with full explanations on what the configurations are built to do. We felt very supported throughout the whole process by the pre-sales and technical implementation teams.
