the level of interaction you can have is amazing. Exporting to CSS or HTML is great especially to continue user testing in the real world. Annotations are great for being able to keep track of the reasoning behind the expected behavior. The community behind Axure RP is really well supported, it's usually simple to find a youtube video of what you need to accomplish.
some protoyping use cases are complex for a designer to work with.
1. Interface is outdated and clunky 2. Interoperability with other common tool in the space is very limited 3. Heavy reliance on plugins to cover what should be core to the product
It's a learning curve, and it's quite the hill to climb. While the community around axure RP is great, it would be better to have all of the things I need to be not on youtube and therefore no advertisements. What's missing for us is a better way to use just Axure to conduct user testing. right now we need other software to gather insights and it's just more costly and complex than we'd prefer.
