Azure Data Lake store is good hadoop based storage native to Azure. It works well within Azure eco system but still lacks connectivity from lot of third party tools. Performance wise its better and on par with any Hadoop file based system

1. Rapid scaling up and down according to server utilization helps in cost management. 2. The data analytics capabilities of the platform are excellent in terms of both structured and raw data. 3. Seamless integration with Microsoft azure ecosystem ensures it works smoothly.

Its easily available with Azure workloads and being native makes performance better than outside hadoop implementation.

There are certain points which I like the most: Flexibility with data formats, Enterprise Grade security and Scalability with seamless integration with analytics tool .

1. Storage credits that remain cannot be transferred to the next cycle. 2. Data migration for larger files cannot be done in parallel processing batches. 3. Cost estimates provided initially were not fully accurate.

Connectivity to and from multiple non Azure sources and targets is very limited

The main downside of ADSL is its complexity in setup, Management, and cost optimization, which can be overwhelming for new users or small teams. while it excels for enterprises with experienced Azure professionals, organizations without deep azure expertise may find it challenging to maximize its potential.
