Read Full ReviewI like the strong focus on planning & planning workflows that get supported by other features. The handling of the tool is reasonably easy, allowing for easy onboarding of employees on Board (even in Power User / DB design roles) worked great and allowed us to heavily reduce our external capacity. Additionally, the support and community around Board is excellent, allowing easy exchange with other customers, even on very technical topics.

1) Main issue we experienced was the lack of competent & stable developer at the start of our project development which resulted in a delay in the product implementation (we were although impacted at that time by the Covid-19 pandemic which has made physical meetings between users and integration team impossible) . 2) The way some data processing flows are occurring is not always transparent for a functional developer. I have sometime the impression to find the correct data processing solution by chance (thru try&fail method without clear understanding what I am doing) 3) The possibility to add comments on the progammation objects (procedures, data cubes, data readers) are limited - thus even it is a no code tool, it is still necessary to maintain much documentation to keep a clear understanding of the processes
Read Full ReviewThe data backend, esp. regarding data ingestion, is very unflexible and requires heavy preparation on the DW underneath. Planned updates for this area (that looked very promising) have been postponed on the roadmap in favour of AI topics. The reporting functionalities are limited compared to other tools and a dual approach (in combination with PowerBI / Tableau for topics without planning) is our preferred way. The setup is robust, but inflexible, meaning that it is not suited for small, fast test & iterations that other tools (like Excel or PowerBI) excel in. Even smaller tests require changes on the DW beneath and in Board, often requiring multiple people.

The communication and interaction with Board is working great. They are implementing some very exciting features (with ML, AI and esp. the inclusion of Foresight) beyond typical planning workflows. PROS: Great capabilities. CONS: need to define long term product from scratch as technical debt is expensive. Expensive renewal policy Recommended?-> YES
The Tool works well, but is not the best in case you dont have well designed the long term product. To work in Agile with sprints is not the best as if you need o change something from the past the Technical debt with this tool is mucho more difficult to manage than in other tools. As well, maybe not the Tool, this is more to the developer, but the day a day use is not agile ( it needs, "buttons" and long waiting periods while working with not big data sets). As well, take in consideration what is included in the base of the product, some cappabilities need to be purchased separately. IN GENERAL is a Good Tool and In Owr case I´ll purchase it once more. - a flexible application, embedding so many native features to be customized for our specific business processes - a strong proximity with the editor, and more specifically with the R&D Department - a good quality of technical support via our SLA - but not fully autonomous yet on the management of our processes (external services still required)
