Microsoft Power BI Likes & Dislikes
Power BI is best known for its ability to allow basically anyone - no matter their skill level - to transform data into meaningful insights with interactive dashboards and reports. Simply the fact that it automatically works with Excel, Azure, and other Microsoft services makes it an ideal match for companies that already value the Microsoft ecosystem, thus taking the work processes to a higher level of efficiency and cross-team collaboration.
There are lots of visually engaging ways to display the data and to connect various portions of the display together so that related portions of the data are kept in sync.
Couple of things which I liked the most: 1) You have multiple options of data sources where you can connect your data to build dashboards 2) Second thing which I like most is that you can work on the dashboard with the desktop feature and when you are ready with the dashboard you can publish it on the web where everyone can see it. 3) Third thing is the App feature introduced by power bi where you can collate multiple dashboards in one place and you can even access the dashboard through with the mobile devices which is very useful.
Microsoft Power BI is really high up on my challenge list mostly because of the complicated and advanced features that go along with its learning curve, for example, DAX and complex data modelling which often become a problem for new users or people who do not have a technical background. Although the interface is user friendly for basic tasks, understanding the more complex functionalities still requires a lot of time and training. In addition, the software might work slower when trying to handle a big data set or a model that is not optimized well for which certain visual customization options. Licensing could also be an issue because of the sharing and collaboration features that require Power BI Pro or Premium may not be economically affordable by smaller teams and organizations.
1.) There is no way to subscribe to a report and have the data sent to you. You can subscribe and get a notification that data is there and get an image of the report but the ability to subscribe in the traditional sense is not there. 2.) Permissions aren't granular enough. For someone to be able to use filters, you have to give them the ability to edit the report. There ought to be a way for someone to use a report and be able to filter the data in it without them being able to also edit (and potentially, corrupt) it. 3.) Workspaces need folders. Data organization is a weakness for Power BI. 4.) Report sprawl is definitely a thing. It's hard to see which reports are related and easy to get lost in copies of copies of copies.
These are the places where I realised they have to improve: 1) underlying data you can't access within the dashboard - I think this should be required because if you see that a metric has dipped then you can just click on that metric and see the underlying data to see who is contributing to the dip so you do not have to download raw data and apply multiple filters to see who is contributing to the dip in that metric. 2) Some pre-formatted graphics need to exist in power bi so that let's say if I have created a dashboard with multiple widgets and visualizations and apply that format it will make our whole dashboard in a better way. 3) When the dashboard file is exceeding more than 400 mb it will be very slow in responding if we are doing any changes which is very painful for us to work.

Power BI Enhances Collaboration Yet Presents Advanced Feature and Cost Challenges
Microsoft Power BI creates captivating dashboards with interesting visuals and connects to multiple data sources, transforming data with Power Query. Microsoft Power BI integrates with Microsoft365 which makes collaboration more efficient and provides analytical and governance capabilities with low-level security and DAX. Despite the advanced features and certain customization constraints, Power BI is still the best option for businesses seeking continuous, real-time, scalable insights. This is especially the case for businesses working in Microsoft's ecosystem. - BUSINESS ANALYST<50M USDIT ServicesReview Source
Real-Time Dashboards And App Features Enhance Power BI Despite Performance Issues
Overall Experience is overwhelming with Power BI due to its open source platform where you have leverage to use sheet and make dashboard over the sheet and not limited to just sheet they have lot of data source available from where you can pull your data to make dashboard real time which is awesome. - Director of Supply Chain10B+ USDManufacturingReview Source

A powerful and intuitive data visualization tool that rewards planning and patience
Microsoft Power BI has become one of my go-to tools for transforming raw data into insightful and interactive dashboards. My overall experience was quite smooth and productive. It feels professional user even I am not a business analyst but setting up data connections, cleaning up sources and visualizing complex numbers into something which actually tells a story has been easier than I expected. - IT Manager1B-10B USDServices (non-Government)Review Source
