Stability, availability and capacity.
It provides on-premise S3 object storage for whatever on-premise needs one has
The ability to provide an onsite S3 solution that works as advertised at a much lower cost than public cloud offerings. The support with the product has been amazing from our Sales team to the technical support staff.
Administration tools like CMC often display recurring errors that require multiple updates to resolve, we would also like to see a performance upgrade, as it can be quite slow when handling queries and generating operation status reports. Additionally, I would appreciate more effective follow up from the support team (not our account manager) when a case is raised as response times can be lengthy in some instances, when this happens our only way to get a prompt response is by engaging our rep who is always supporting us no matter what time we reach him.
Bugs in the software leading to bad performance and data corruption. Poor restore throughput that basically put our RTO at risk. Support issues due to the vendor not responding in a timely fashion
Our experience with Cloudian has been phenomenal. There haven't been any negatives.
