Performance of Cortex Xpanse Across Market Features

Cortex Xpanse Likes & Dislikes

Like

What is like most about Cortex Xpanse is the unmatched visibility it gives me into our entire external attack surface. It continuously discovers internet facing assets even one we didn't know existed and flags exposure s before they become real problems. The accuracy is impressive with far fewer false positives than other tools i've tried, so i can focus on fixing genuine risk intestd of chasing noise. i also love the active response feature which can automatically remediate certain issues saving our team valuable time.

Like

Securing the Unknown., automated remediation, Enhanced intelligence.

Like

I like the visibility it gives into assets we didn't even know were out there. It continuously scans and shows us exposed systems before they become a bigger risk. The automated discovery and mapping save a ton of manual work, and the way it prioritizes issues makes it easier to focus on the most critical things first.

Dislike

There's very little to dislike about Cortex Xpanse but if i had to pick one area for improvement it would be the initial tunning process. The first few weeks required some manual efforts to filter out low-risk our third party assets that weren't relevant to our environment .Once that was done the alerts become highly accurate and actionable but a bit more built-in context or automated asset classification up front would make the onboarding even soother.

Dislike

Data overload, Reporting limitations, complex interface

Dislike

Sometimes the amount of data it pulls in can feel overwhelming, especially at the start when you're seeing everything for the first time. It takes a bit of effort to tune and filter out what's most relevant. Also, the reporting could be a little more flexible for different audiences, like executives v/s technical teams.

    Cortex Xpanse Simplifies Asset Discovery

    5.0
    Aug 26, 2025
Overall, cortex xpanse has been really helpful for giving us a clearer picture of our external attack surface. It automatically finds assets we didn't even realize were exposed and makes it easier to prioritize what needs fixing. The dashboards are easy to understand, and it feels like we are finally not playing catch-up all the time. It does take some effort to fine-tune alerts and processes around it, but overall it's been a strong addition to our security stack.

Automated Asset Discovery In Cortext Xpanse Requires Manual Tuning For Configuration

    5.0
    Sep 8, 2025
Overall, Cortext Xpanse is widely regarded as a powerful/essential tool to manage an enterprise-grade external attack surface. What stands out are features such as auto-discovery for internet-facing assets and providing consolidated real-time visibility and prioritised alerts for exposed assets with potentially compromised configuration. As part of the PA suite, the integration with other PA tools like Cortex SOAR and Prisma Cloud offers more flexibility as part of a cohesive cybersec workflow.

    Aug 19, 2025
Cortex Xpanse demonstrated reliable, internet-scale discovery of unkonwn internet facing assets and quick wins on risky exposure. Out of the box attack surface rules and tight XSOAR integration helped operationalize quick fixes in my environment. Pricing and ownership mapping details took some effort, but overall it significantly contributed to reduced external risk.

Early Detection of Misconfigurations Improves Security Despite Setup and Cloud Limits

    4.0
    Aug 20, 2025
The setup took some time for manual tunings but once its up and running then our asset inventory moved away from a guess work to something realiable. We caught some very critical misconfigurations and rogue/zombie services running early. Overall Cortex Xpanse is playing a critical role in tightening our defenses.
