Cyera gives our engineering teams clarity on where sensitive data lives across our cloud stack and SaaS applications. For a fast-moving product team, that visibility means we can ship quickly without losing confidence in security. The automation around discovery and classification saves us significant effort, and the integrations with our existing AWS and SaaS tools worked out-of-the-box. They helped us solve: Data Governance at scale by automatically discovering and classifying sensitive data in our environments. Compliance readiness by accerelrating SOC2 and GDPR prep by giving us a single view of where our sensitive data resides and who has access. Risk reduction via proactive alerts on potential exposures allowed us to address issues before they impact our customers.
1. Automated data discovery: Quick discovery of Onedrive and Sharepoint repositories in our M365 tenant. 2. AI driven classification: The AI classification engine is accurate, automatically classifies records in the datastores, and creates Issues according to the set policies. 3. Automatic creation of issues: The platform automatically creates issues according to our set policies. This kind of automation is very useful.
The AI in the core makes the job a lot easier. Be it scanning, data masking. When ever I check a data store for issues /vulnerabilities, I can only see the masked data and I like it very much.
As with any enterprise security product, there's some upfront lift in configuring policies and making sure data classification map cleanly to our business context. Cyera's team partnered with us closely and made it straightforward.
1. Slow scanning and classification: Scanning speed is quite slow, making it a concern in a large deployment. 2. Daily manual scan restriction: The 50 scan per day limit is quite limiting for a huge tenant deployed globally.
Takes a significant amount of time to scan data stores with 0 KB size. Some times, the page response is awful and page does not load. The Datastores page gives a hard time when I navigate to one page from another ( for example 5th to 6th ) and clicking on back takes me to the first page.

Accurate AI driven Data Discovery and Classification
My overall experience with Cyera has been positive. The platform does a good job of automatically discovering data in our M365 tenant and classifying it with accuracy. However, the data scanning process is quite slow for M365 data. Another limitation is the 50 "send to scan" restriction per day, which makes user validation within our own tenant difficult.
