Read Full ReviewWhat I appreciate most about Denodo is its ability to rapidly expose and integrate data from multiple sources, making it easy to create unified views with minimal effort. The platform's support for massively parallel processing allows us to handle large queries efficiently which is a big advantage when working with complex datasets. Its strong connectivity options, including seamless integration with APIs and websites, open up even more possibilities. Denodo's core strength - data virtualization helps us avoid unnecessary data replication enabling faster delivery while maintaining data integrity. On top of that, its robust data governance features such as customizable security and access controls through global security policies give us the flexibility and confidence to manage access appropriately across different user groups.

3rd party integration issues are not easy to be resolved. For example Power BI / RED. Sometimes there are timeouts on the data sources when the views are accessed from ETL tools such as Wherescape RED. These are random and the errors are not detailed enough for troubleshooting. Improved and more flexible metadata support

Our experience with Denodo at our org. has been largely positive, with its data virtualization capabilities proving to be a strong enabler for integrating diverse data sources quickly and efficiently. It has streamlined access to data across multiple systems without the need for heavy data movement, which is a huge win for agility & consistency. While we've encountered a few challenges - particularly with API integrations and more complex authentication scenarios - the upcoming enhancements in v9 are promising and address several long standing pain points. Features like improved MPP support & global security policies are a great addition. Denodo Reaches New Heights with Advanced AI Capabilities
Denodo continues to excel as a leader. The Enterprise Plus version of this product provides amazing capabilities utilizing Presto for an Embedded Mutli-Parallel Processing (MPP) capability that is integrated with the platform. Their advances in artificial intelligence with Denodo 9.1.x provide the ability to connect Denodo to your AI engine and get assistance right in the Design Studio with naming fields, describing the data in those fields, and troubleshooting queries in a VQL shell. Connecting your AI engine to the Denodo Data Catalog currently provides the ability to query data with natural language, returning a fully developed query that you can execute or open in a VQL shell right from the catalog interface. Future roadmap will incorporate "Ask Anything" into the catalog, providing the AI capability to be more like a full chatbot capable of answer non-data questions as well as data related questions in the shell.
