What I like the most about Fivetran is that the pre-built connectors are easy to use and do not require technical knowledge. This allows us to work with non-tech stakeholders and set up connectors that they can manage through the Fivetran UI. The Fivetran SDK also gives more options to our technical users to set up custom connections without a lot of effort.
Easy setup. Most data integrations to enterprise platforms. Great customer service.
There are several things we leve about Fivetran, but these are the top three that stand out the most: 1- Stability and performance 2- wide range of connectors 3-exceptional support Fivetran has become an essential part of our data infrastructure thanks to its reliability, scalability and customer-first mindset
Cost for high volume data. There are cases where the volume is high and the schema drift is minimal so Fivetran would not be a cost effective solution for this case.
Usage-based pricing can easily blow up a budget and needs to be managed carefully. An update or backfill on a large billion-record source table can easily increase your MAR (Monthly Active Records) past your quota. This makes budget planning very difficult.
Honestly, there's nothing we dislike about Fivetran. On the contrary, everything we've used has worked exceptionally well. The product is robust, the performance is outstanding and the support team consistently goes above and beyond. It's rare to find a service that delivers so consistently across the board.
