1. Product Reliability: Fivetran and HVR simply work. The stability and consistency of both platforms give us confidence in our ingestion and replication pipelines. 2. Ease of Adoption: The tools are user-friendly and intuitive, with solid documentation. This has enabled adoption across a broad user base of approximately 80 users. 3. Customer Service & Partnership: The account team consistently makes us feel supported. We have built strong relationships with our account executive, solution architects, and sales engineer, which has made a meaningful difference in our overall experience. 4. Continuous Improvement: Fivetran continues to expand its connector and table coverage. The Fivetran SDK has been a particularly valuable addition, already enabling us to integrate with more than 20 sources that do not have native connectors. 5. Learning Mgt System (LMS): The LMS is a helpful resource for onboarding and ramping up on Fivetran and HVR. We hope it continues to evolve with deeper content on topics such as replication performance tunning, expert functions, advanced deployment patterns, and expanded SDK use cases.
Easy setup. Most data integrations to enterprise platforms. Great customer service.
The best thing about Fivetran is the wide range of connectors with almost every data ingestion service and the ease of use. Automated schema handling and incremental syncs make it particularly strong for scaling ingestion across many systems.
1. Enterprise License Agreement (ELA): The ELA subscription model is not available for multi-year contracts. This limits our ability to confidently plan a long-term enterprise strategy centered on Fivetran solutions. 2. Escalation to Engineering & Support SLAs: When support cases escalate to engineering, resolution of production issues can take several months. Additionally, there is no clear SLA for these scenarios, even under the premium support package, which occasionally forces us to pursue alternative remediation paths. 3. Feature Prioritization Model: New feature requests rely heavily on community upvotes for prioritization. This approach does not always feel sufficient for assessing enterprise-scale value or - especially - urgency, particularly for large customers with complex requirements.
Usage-based pricing can easily blow up a budget and needs to be managed carefully. An update or backfill on a large billion-record source table can easily increase your MAR (Monthly Active Records) past your quota. This makes budget planning very difficult.
We have occasionally seen unexpected full reloads, which can be disruptive for high volume tables. MAR (Monthly Active Rows) pricing also lacks transparency and can quickly escalate for frequently updated datasets. In some cases, the fully managed nature of the platform limits deeper customisation.
