Overview

Product Information on Google SecOps

Updated 13th October 2025

What is Google SecOps?

Google Security Operations is a software that enables organizations to detect, investigate, and respond to cyber threats across their digital infrastructure. The software integrates security information and event management (SIEM) capabilities with threat intelligence, security analytics, and automation. It helps centralize security data from various sources, providing capabilities such as alert triage, incident investigation, and workflow automation to assist security teams in responding efficiently to threats. The software utilizes correlation, analysis, and visualization tools to identify malicious activity and reduce response times, helping organizations manage security operations and mitigate risks in complex IT environments.

Google SecOps Pricing

Google Security Operations software uses a tiered pricing model based on usage, data volume, and selected features. Pricing typically depends on the amount of data ingested, storage requirements, and additional security analytics functionalities. Users may choose between different service levels, and costs are generally billed on a monthly or annual basis according to selected capacity and options.

“Revolutionizing SOC Efficiency with the power of Gemini AI and a robust platform”

5.0
Feb 2, 2026
When we started using Google SecOps, it changed the way our SOC, which we use within our European-based operations, manages and responds to the daily flood of security and other alerts. Before implementing SecOps, we where bogged down by how many repetitive and manual tasks we had to perform. With SecOps we have regained time by being able to implement workflows which enables us to use a case centric approach. In the end, it saved our SOC engineers so much time that the tool has enabled us to use the SOC not only for network monitoring in The Netherlands, but also for other countries in Europe.

Since the acquisition from its former owner, the service is non-existent, platform is instable and not performance, and the service is not delivered in line with the contract.

The integration with Google Gemini AI has proven to be a real game-changer for us. Using AI tools like starting an investigation using natural language has enabled us to dump the complex YARA and Regex rules which has resulted in being able to onboard new SOC engineers much faster than before. AI not only automates tasks, it also plays a big part in the analysis of events and to filter the burden of (false positive) events, which enables us to focus on the real important security events. These events, using the excellent case summarization, are also much easier to follow-up, for example because all the various details (alerts, logging, telemetry) are pulled together making it easy to act upon. It saves us a lot of time at every event. We use Gemini also to 'ask' for the impact of a certain CVE on our installed base, saving u, again, a lot of time. Next to AI, the GUI is always responsive, easy to use and gives us a single pane of view.

Like

We liked the low-code approach to automation and the out of the box connectors.

Like

The interface is very user friendly. This is surprisingly refreshing for a SIEM solution. The setup was fairly simple and no major issues were encountered. The pricing is also fair. There are no additional data ingestion fees, which is a great benefit.

Dislike

Sometimes, when asking really complex queries, AI hallucinations can occur. Next to this, as with other AI tools, you'll have to use the right prompts to get the most out of it. Next to this, as with other Cloud Based tools, the cost, especially when using the premium AI features, can be quite high.

Dislike

The ability to leverage dev/test/production processes causes concern with integrations and operations.

Dislike

It may not be ideal for large datasets. There is a hard cap on the number of search results that can be exported to a CSV. There also may be limited support for third party integrations. I've also noticed that sometimes the applied filters while searching within the platform do not function correctly.
