Powerful Data Integration and MDM tool
Our experience with IBM Infosphere has been good so far. We have large volumes (in millions) of customer data created by different operational applications and we needed a powerful MDM tool to manage the data. IBM has enabled us de-duplicate our data, create single enterprise customer id and bring all our critical customer information on a single platform. One of the issues with the IBM MDM tool is lack of a strong customer facing user interface for ongoing maintenance of customer data. - Business Consultant10B+ USDBankingReview Source
Implementation was easy, but it required a ton of customization to make it work
what has worked well is vendor responsiveness to issues, and upto date information on product enhancements and features what has not worked well is the high costs that have been associated with upgrading to platform versions, and the fact that a lot of the customized features are not supported in the higher versions of the product - Director of BI1B-10B USDRetailReview Source
MDM works great, Soft Layer in it's infancy.
The 3rd party implementation team was very solid. The on-boarding process to the new Soft Layer environment left a lot to be desired. The overall platform capabilities met our expectation - Head - Global Information Architecture1B-10B USDManufacturingReview Source
Powerful product but not easy to implement, manage and upgrade
Great product. Great matching and survivorship capabilities. Inter-tool integration not that great. Very complex to manage. Upgrades are a nightmare. Product vision roadmap looks great but it's very complicated to realize that vision. - MDM Manager1B-10B USDHealthcare and BiotechReview Source
Complex Tool - Difficult to Implement
Did a limited implementation about 4 years ago and relied entirely on 3rd part for support. Purchased expanded license a year ago but have yet to implement due to the complexity.
