Seamless deployments with Huawei gear, but cross-vendor support limited
We deployed Huawei iMaster NCE-Campus to unify management of the entire park’s wired network, wireless Wi-Fi, industrial IoT network and multi-branch SD-WAN connections, replacing three independent original management platforms including traditional network management system, wireless AC controller and SD-WAN management platform. After 8 months of stable daily operation and two routine version upgrades, the latest V300R024 version delivers mature and reliable performance for 100% Huawei native network environments. The platform drastically cuts down manual CLI configuration work and enables AI-powered automated network fault diagnosis. Nevertheless, it has noticeable drawbacks in multi-vendor device compatibility, third-party system integration and user-friendly UI design, bringing extra hidden operation and maintenance costs during our legacy network upgrade project. This review is written purely based on our real daily operation scenarios, with no vendor intervention, content revision or commercial promotion.
