Seamless deployments with Huawei gear, but cross-vendor support limited

    5.0
    Jun 21, 2026
We deployed Huawei iMaster NCE-Campus to unify management of the entire park’s wired network, wireless Wi-Fi, industrial IoT network and multi-branch SD-WAN connections, replacing three independent original management platforms including traditional network management system, wireless AC controller and SD-WAN management platform. After 8 months of stable daily operation and two routine version upgrades, the latest V300R024 version delivers mature and reliable performance for 100% Huawei native network environments. The platform drastically cuts down manual CLI configuration work and enables AI-powered automated network fault diagnosis. Nevertheless, it has noticeable drawbacks in multi-vendor device compatibility, third-party system integration and user-friendly UI design, bringing extra hidden operation and maintenance costs during our legacy network upgrade project. This review is written purely based on our real daily operation scenarios, with no vendor intervention, content revision or commercial promotion.

The most standout advantage is its all-in-one integrated management plus built-in AI intelligent O&M capability, which greatly cuts our daily network operation workload. It unifies wired switches, Wi-Fi 7 APs, SD-WAN gateways and NAC access control under a single management portal. We no longer need to switch between multiple separate management systems to configure network isolation, staff access rights and guest Wi-Fi policies. Our routine configuration efficiency has risen significantly and cross-platform configuration errors are largely eliminated. The native CampusInsight AI module enables end-to-end visualized monitoring and automatic root cause analysis. When our workshop AGVs suffered random wireless disconnections before, engineers spent hours combing logs manually. Now the platform directly locates air interface conflicts or port packet loss within minutes and provides one-click optimization solutions, slashing fault handling time by over 90%. The optimized ZTP zero-touch deployment simplifies rollout for new workshops and remote branches. New devices complete registration and configuration delivery automatically after power-on without on-site CLI debugging, drastically reducing field engineering labor costs.
