“Efficient Financial Tracking With Some Challenges in Program Stability and Speed”

4.0
May 7, 2026
We use quickbooks on a daily basis for all of our accounting functions including AP, AR, Payroll, financial statements, inventory, service billing etc. It has been very valuable in making sure that our data is correct and tracked efficiently. Most of the functions within the program are very user friendly, easy to use, and can be adapted to your business as needed. The inventory function seems to work very well other than a few cost issues here and there but it has not been a recurring problem and was easily fixed. The payroll function is also great to use for our company because it calculates all of the taxes for you and integrates with other applications for reporting etc. The one drawback that I see is that the desktop version seems to be the most robust, however it runs the slowest and seems to have the most data issues occur. It would be great to see Intuit integrate the inventory function into the online version in a way that is much more robust!

Like

QuickBooks has reliable accounting tools that make it easy to track expenses, manage transactions and generate accurate financial reports. It also has a user-friendly interface which makes it easier to understand even if you don't have an accounting background. Lastly, QuickBooks has a stable integration ecosystem which allows users to connect to a wide variety of third-party applications.

Dislike

the program crashes alot while completing simple tasks like sending emails from within the program.

Dislike

Difficult to navigate certain areas such as payroll on occasion

Dislike

Although QuickBooks is a great help for us, there are areas that we hope it could improve. First is the limited nonprofit-specific features: it doesn't have built-in tools for donor management, grant tracking or fundraising. Subscription fees are also a bit high, and important features like payroll and advanced reporting often come with extra costs. Last would be their customer support, we have experienced slow response times and inconsistent support quality.

Overall, my experience with Intuit Quickbooks has been positive, especially for its strong accounting features and its ease of use. It effectively supports our financial tasks. There may be some concerns about the costs and their customer support, but it still remains a dependable solution for basic nonprofit accounting.

Transparency and Bookkeeping Strengths Noted in QuickBooks for Non-Profit Desktop

    5.0
    May 14, 2026
QuickBooks provides a user-friendly, transparent experience. Specifically, the QuickBooks for Non-Profit desktop program. I would recommend this program in the past. Now with QuickBooks taking a more profit-focused approach, the cost of the software has increased, while the offered services change very slightly from year to year.

QuickBooks Offers Tailored Affordability and Efficient Management for Small Companies

    4.0
    Apr 7, 2026
We utilize QuickBooks to process invoices and payroll. We appreciate that the platform allows us to process both AP, AR, and payroll functions. As a small business, it is reasonably priced and covers major functions that we needed. We've looked at other platforms, but those would have required both an HR system and an AR/AP system, resulting in two platforms and highter costs. Overall, QuickBooks has hit every need we have and is easy to navigate.

Payroll accuracy improves with streamlined expense tracking and automated workflows

    4.0
    May 17, 2026
We use Intuit QuickBooks for accounting and payroll management. The software streamlines payroll processing and ensures accuracy in job costing. It is easy to use and has good customer support services. Through use of the software we are able to conduct accurate mileage tracking and ensure tax compliance. Reasonable pricing of and effectiveness of the product in expense tracking makes it a standout amongst its competitors. The software is also flexible and suits all sizes of businesses and organisations. It is also easy to customize and fully automates tedious processes such as purchase order management, billing and invoicing. Use of the product has generally made attendance monitoring, payroll processing and expense management flawless.
