Performance of Xero Across Market Features
Xero Likes & Dislikes
The automation of regular recurring invoices saves so much time, being able to set up our hourly rates and services to select from is amazing. Setting up links to our business accounts and do quick reconciliations is so easy - it even selects potential matching invoices so you don't have to go searching. Also being able to email photos of receipts directly to the platform to track expenses has been a time saving feature.
1. User friendly UI: The dashboard and navigation are simple and easy for anyone going into the platform. 2. Cloud-based access: Being able to securely log in from anywhere makes it convenient for our distributed team. 3. Integration with Accounting & Payroll team is able to connect smoothly which reduces the manual overhead.
I especially like how I can upload, manage, track and approve invoices all in one place, I also like how can generate comprehensive reports for my management team. I like how simple the dashboard and user interface is designed for ease of access for users. Another feature I really like is the integration with bank accounts that allows me to track payments in real time.
There was a bit of a learning curve in getting to know the system - occasionally something that should seem logical to find is a little hidden in the menus and I have to search resources to try and find out. We were previously running the business differently with more staff and were on a higher plan, when this changed we updated the setting to go to a lower level plan however it kept reverting back to the higher plan and charging us the higher rate each month. This was frustrating and we struggled to get assistance from support to fix this issue but eventually got it sorted. The pricing can be little on the high side for small businesses as well.
1. Limited support for U.S. payroll compliance: Some tax updates and reporting requirements don't roll out as quickly as they should. 2. Integration with third-party benefits providers can be a bit clunky or require manual workarounds. 3. Customer support can be a bit slow to respond so it's not ideal when we are in an urgent situation that requires immediate support.
I don't have any dislike for the application.

Automation Features Simplify Small Business Invoicing and Payroll Management Tasks
We use Xero to manage invoicing, payments and payroll for our small business and it has been great. With bookkeeping and accounting not being a strong suit for us previously just managing via spreadsheets, we chose this based on recommendations from our accountant and have found it pretty easy to use. The automation and linking to our accounts to manage reconciliations has been fantastic. - IT ENABLEMENT LEAD<50M USDSoftwareReview Source
Xero Offers Easy Cloud-Based Access But Faces U.S. Payroll Limitations
Our overall experience with Xero has been decent. The platform is intuitive and easy to use for basic accounting and payroll needs and the cloud-based access is convenient. However, it does have its limitations when handling more complex U.S. payroll items, such as compliance updates and integrations with some benefits providers. Additionally, their customer response could be a bit quicker. Overall it's a tool that does its job and we continue the subscription due to the low volume of employees in the U.S. for our org. - Finance Manager50M-1B USDMediaReview Source
Centralized Invoice Management and Real-Time Payment Tracking With Xero Software
I have been using Xero for a few months as an Accounts Payable specialist and I must say it has been an awesome addition to my toolbox. It is packed with great features that allow me to carry out both simple and complex accounting tasks without any hassle. I have moved from pen and paper documentation to digital automation, and I really love it. - Senior Manager1B-10B USDServices (non-Government)Review Source
Xero Eases Accounting Tasks but Offers Limited Advanced Reporting Options
Xero has been a reliable and user friendly accounting platform for our firm. It has streamlined our bookkeeping, invoicing and reconciliation processes, while also providing strong integration options with other tools that we use. The cloud system makes it easy for our finance team to collaborate in real time. However, there are a few limitations around advanced reporting. - Account Clerk50M-1B USDBankingReview Source
Bank Integration and Cloud Access Enhance Experience With Efficient Invoicing Features
I would the experience was good with Xero as it connects smoothly with my banks so it fetches the transaction details automatically so I don't have to look over the transactions manually. The option to create invoices works well as it generates professional looking invoices.
