What are Real-Time Transportation Visibility Platforms?

Gartner defines the real-time transportation visibility platform (RTTVP) market as platforms that provide real-time location and status insights into orders once they have left the warehouse. This includes other facilities, such as those of a brand owner, supplier, contract manufacturer or service provider. Such platforms, owned and managed by third-party software vendors, represent part of the supply chain visibility market that predominantly — but not solely — addresses domestic road transportation modes. RTTVPs obtain data through integration (via API or electronic data interchange [EDI], for example) with carrier systems, direct feeds from telematics (in-cab or in-trailer devices) or other technologies or apps. RTTVPs are used to gain near-real-time status and location of shipments in transit, along with predictive estimated times of arrival. This information can be used internally, as well as externally, to inform and update both types of customers related to shipments delays, estimated times of arrival (ETAs) and statuses.

GoComet helps us reduce our manual efforts for tracking all the shipments on all carrier sites. A single platform is given for Shipment tracking for all carriers. Consignee Dashboard, ETA email notifications, RED sea and Panama Canal attack affected shipment details, and Route changes for any crisis are also shown in MAP view. Major milestones are updated properly and we get WhatsApp notifications for all shipment ETA changes. The reports are very useful for auditing purposes. Predictive ETA and vessel tacking are both very useful for further planning.

"Impressive Support, Exceptional Customer Experience"

We are a relatively new customer and the entire experience thus far has been phenomenal. I never felt pressured by our Account Manager during the sales process like I did with one of the competitors. Implementation was a very important part of our decision piece for us as we do not have much internal support for implementation - just one person. Our Account Manager broke down the process and everything that was outlined to us I think was actually undersold. Our Implementation Manager really went above and beyond to assist us in ensuring a successful roll-out of the product. Thus far, I have found the program extremely easy to use and the analytics have been quite impressive when presenting them to our customers. We've started utilizing the Four Kites platform in some of our customer presentations/QBRs to promote the technology implementation and the overall feedback has been restounding. We're now looking at ways we can expand on how we utilize the platform as a whole in the overall Customer Experience we provide for our customers.

We want to focus on our professional skills and core business.
