“QuickBooks Offers Robust Accounting but Presents Challenges for New Users and Support”

5.0
Sep 5, 2025
Our organization has found QuickBooks to be a comprehensive and professional accounting solution. It allows us to manage everything from payroll and invoicing to expense tracking and reporting in one place. While it has greatly streamlined our finances, because they have so many features there can be a learning curve when you first get started.

“Difficulty Connecting Multiple Users and Frequent IT Involvement With QuickBooks Software”

2.0
Aug 26, 2025
QuickBooks is very popular, but has some serious software issues that make it glitchy and support isn't helpful. If you outright buy their software, and need to contact support, they are expensive and never give a permanent fix. With their cloud option now available, the recommendation is to move to their subscription based QuickBooks which is even more expensive. It's great for bookkeeping and very popular, but the difficulties with the cost and software issues make it a hard sell. If there was another option, I would move to it.

Reviewer Insights for: Intuit QuickBooks

Intuit QuickBooks Likes & Dislikes

Like

Automation: Features like recurring invoices, tax calculations and bank feeds. Integration: Connects well with other tools and makes our workflows smoother. Functionality: Offers all accounting needs in one platform.

Like

Ease of use, everyone knows how to use it.

Like

1) Simple and intuitive interface that is easy to navigate 2) Flexible and customisable reporting for different business needs 3) Ability to attach supporting documents directly when sending estimates or invoices, which improves record-keeping

Dislike

Complex: Can feel overwhelming for new users, especially without prior accounting experience. Cost: pricing is very high compared to competitors. Support: Response time is a little slow and the reps are not very knowledgeable.

Dislike

I have nothing but issues with the software and getting everyone connected to our files. IT is always needing to be involved with QuickBooks and I have never had a more difficult software than I have had with QuickBooks and keeping it going, especially when you want to have more than one person in a file at one time.

Dislike

Customer support can be inconsistent at times, with longer than expected resolution timelines. While issues do eventually get resolved, delays of several days can be stressful, especially when dealing with time-sensitive accounting or compliance matters.

    All-In-One Accounting Software Streamlines Workflow

    4.0
    Aug 27, 2025
While being an accountant and bookkeeper, my company used QuickBooks and I loved how intuitive the software was, and I really enjoyed having an "all-in-one" software that helped keep track of everything related to a specific company. We were able to issue payments to vendors, while tracking the bank reconciliations with activity. All while tracking timestamps and issuing payroll checks electronically.
