Jira is great for creating project timelines but has a weak point in resource management. The absence of knowledge concerning the work load of team members leads me to use other Microsoft excel sheets or other apps in order to plan the usage of resources properly.

Ease of use and built in features. What I like most is its flexibility and customizability. It adapts well to different workflows - scrum, kanban, or custom processes.
I can easily see the status of tasks and possible issues that slow down the project using Jiras boards. This has helped in enhancing the communication within the team and ensure that every one of us is in agreement.
It's support for scrum and Kanban Framework is expectional. It effortlessly creates and manages Sprint, User Stories and Epic ensures Agile processes.
Initial setup and customization could feel overwhelming for new users. While flexibility is powerful it also requires a learning curve.
Jira lacks the ability to present an overview of how loaded the team members are, thus it is hard to check whether the tasks are distributed effectively and nobody is overloaded. This results in work being missed or delayed and nobody is happy, especially the team members and their clients.
Price Model is complex. Steep learning curve. Customer support is a bit slow.

We are using an AI powered tool ( can't be named here, I guess) that gets you insights that help you notice issues before they escalate.
Plus, it really encourages everyone to be transparent about project status so the whole team knows what’s going on from the get-go. This openness motivates everyone to take responsibility and helps build strong teams that tackle problems early on and stay focused on their goals together.
Traditional reporting often comes too late to make necessary changes. By being proactive and embracing transparency with some AI support, teams can adapt and improve on their own. The key is to catch issues early and empower teams to make adjustments as needed.
AI plays a role in all team decisions, like a performance coach, and also helps out at the management level. It identifies risks and suggests improvements for senior executives.
