For traditional web apps, the Azure Web App will work great. This platform can provide a scalable infrastructure that is global in nature, which will ensure that my website can analog an unexpected flash with no issues. Deployment is just as easy, and connecting with any other Azure service is not a problem at all.
From this perspective, Azure is customer friendly, yet Azure Web Apps are not functioning with distributed ledger technologies. There is no internal module for smart contracts or decentralized ledger interfacing. For my blockchain use case, I resorted to doing a bit of glueing of the existing components such as Azure Functions and a couple of BaaS offerings. This approach has become a complex hassle to manage.

Azure web apps have become a fairytale for standard web development. However, there is no need for this approach with blockchain technology due to the decentralized nature of this method and its unmodified transfer to the buyer. Eventually I laid out a shaky design that didn't go well together with the blockchain security standards and needed more development work. If you're dead serious about blockchain development, then instead I suggest that you look at other sources.
