Very broad capabilities to enable Fabric to be a Self-Service Platform. Building their entire ecosystem around the concept of OneLake is vital for extending Data Analytics capabilities within the enterprise. Availability of zero-ETL or zero-Copy solutions allows us to take advantage of our investments with other vendors also. They have integrated many of their erstwhile Azure products - while continuing to build around OneLake. They do address gaps and bugs relatively quickly.
The capability of having your entire data platform in one place. From ingestion, to transformation, to analytics, to self-service. All in one place.
Ease of getting started and the number of possible solutions within the service.
Their focus on customer user experience - gives a lot of flexibility for the end user - without adequate tools for the enterprise IT to manage and control. Due to the SaaS nature of Fabric - there are always quite a few preview features. Hence, the enterprise IT needs to be agile to test and plan deployment of these newer features for the Data Analytics Community. OneLake Security still needs to be extended to all of their compute engines. Purview is still a work in progress.
With regular releases and ongoing updates, there is always the risk that a feature we adopt won't catch on and it could be dropped quicker compared to a platform that has less features and updates, but more confidence behind each piece. However, I would 100% prefer regular updates and new features with the risk of a feature deprecating compared to a platform that rarely updates.
Fabric is not a code first platform. It appears that it was initially built with non-coders in mind. There should be the ability to use native Python scripts, not just notebooks. The inability to connect Python notebooks to on-premise connections (like you can in a DataPipeline) is a major shortcoming. The deployment process between development, test, and production environments leaves a lot to be desired and as a result had to implement a non-native solution. The pricing model of purchasing a Capacity SKU makes it difficult to compare the platform dollar for dollar to other potential options.

Using Fabric as the reporting backbone of Power BI is genuinely the perfect all-in-one package for a business of any size.
Genuinely a great experience. Our primary use of Fabric is with Power BI, but we have started to use the wider Fabric features for data ingestion and transformation, and the experience has been consistently great (lakehouses, notebooks, etc). The regular releases and improvements have been welcomed and appreciated! - Director of Data and Analytics50M-1B USDConstructionReview Source

Fabric Centralizes Data Tools but Preview Features May Lack Some Expected Functionality
Fabric brings together a host of data tools enabling you to manage ETL/ELT processes in one place. Some features are in preview and not as simple to use as you might expect but fabric is constantly being updated with new and improved features. - Data and Analytics Manager50M-1B USDManufacturingReview Source
