Our experience with Nucleus has been a very good one overall. Their implementation team was very helpful in standing up the product and patient with us when we had issues are were waiting on other teams. We've since had regular bi-weekly meetings with our support team and any issues we bring up are addressed within a short window or feature requests are created, many of which we've seen come to fruition since making them.

The automation rules are straight forward and easy to implement. We've been able to reduce noise by over 90% and address our most critical issues where we were having issues before. The connectors for integrated products are easy to stand up and get working within minutes, and if a FlexConnect is needed for products without a native connector, then the Nucleus team has been very helpful in getting one set up. The support team and ticketing process is top notch, we've had all of our issues addressed within short windows and the answers we receive are always helpful.

I value the comprehensive view of risk across our environment. Nucleus lets us bring in multiple tools, normalize the data, consistently prioritize findings, and report through a single pane of glass. This reduces confusion for stakeholders and connects the dots between asset types and findings, so we can clearly see where to focus remediation efforts for the greatest impact.

The platform makes Vulnerability Management simple and effective. Instead of juggling data from multiple sources, Nucleus brings everything together, giving you a clear view of your security posture. The risk-based approach is a game changer -- it helps focus on the vulns that matter the most. Overall, Nucleus turns Vulnerability Management from a stressful, reactive process into a smart, proactive strategy that truly reduces risk.

The lack of reporting features and limited dashboard capabilities. This should be being addressed with their new NQL rollout.

The biggest challenge is the cultural shift in how we view VM and risk. It can be hard to explain to users why severity and priority change dynamically, for example why a finding might be high one day and critical the next. Nucleus continuously incorporates threat intelligence to reflect how a vuln is being exploited in the broader landscape, which yields a truer picture of risk at the finding and asset level. While this dynamic approach is difficult to replicate manually, it requires stakeholders to adjust their thinking and processes to adapt, which takes time and change management.

One minor drawback is the lack of advanced reporting customization options - while Nucleus provides solid data exports, we often find ourselves creating our own dashboards to present insights to our business teams. Having the ability to design and download tailored reports directly within the platform would save time abd make communication with stakeholders easier.
