CPX Oracle Xstore has replaced our previous point of sale/service (POS) system across our company nationally. We are currently in the middle of the deployment and have been seeing great success and (for the most part) error-free deployments. The POS system is very straightforward. As someone with absolutely zero training or experience in the product, I was able to pick it up within the first hour of deployment.

Oracle is extremely difficult organization to navigate so to get any help or support double or triple effort is needed. In general I'd expect more maturity from such global providers, both from service and product perspective. Also integration of their products is equally difficult. Once you get through it the product provides solid support for the business.

    Implementation are complexity and required high level Oracle Xstore expertise.

    Oracle Xstore is a good solution but there are some limitation to implement it in Brazil. As we have different goverment requirements in each state, Oracle Xstore is not ready for 100% Brazil states. Users are happy with Oracle XStore usability versus Microsoft AX POS

The application is intuitive, straightforward, and easy to use. Keyboard shortcuts are bountiful, speeding up the POS workflow.

Number of partners that can support and develop, Stability of the solution

Product - Outstanting user interface.

Dislike

The few issues we ran into during deployment were around user error that were solved with proper training. Other than that, no dislikes with the product.

Dislike

Lack of customer orientation within Oracle - you become one of parties in internal discussions between consulting, support and development team. Although it's a product with years-long history, it still has surprising early-childhood problems, like some limitations on administering multiple stores at once, overhead number of data exchanged when integrating to it, poor observability, lack of solutions to facilitate automation of the maintenance and deployment, etc.

Dislike

Support services from Oracle is very poor in Brazil. Few local vendors with Oracle XStore expertise.
