The ease of use of the product is what I would say I like the most.
Ability to reproduce a snapshot of our data in a past instant. Ability to produce a test copy quickly. Nice interface.
The masking capabilities are near limitless. The out-of-the-box detection and masking algorithms covered 95% of our data. The remaining 5% required minor tweaks to detection, and some new algorithms based on the OOTB ones. Updating the detection process takes minutes and can be done very iteratively, and the algorithms are the same. We created two different postal code masking algorithms in under 10 minutes to satisfy two different use cases, and a more complex algorithm to mask parts of html tags took less than 30 minutes. One of the coolest things is the fact that we can create a masked gold database that refreshes on a schedule, and then the ease of rolling out versions of that database to our various environments for user consumption, with the masking process taking averaging around 600k rows/minute on minimum hardware specs. We've brought our test data curation process down to a matter of hours each time a new data set is requested, and down to 0 effort for re-use on existing data sets thanks to the masking capabilities, with full referential integrity across multiple disparate sources (MS SQL, Flat files, various OData sources).
Error tracking not being straightforward was what I disliked the most.
Test DB performance is not similar to production. While this is fine for testing functionality, it does not give insight into potential performance issues.
1. Connectivity with Azure Data Lake and Managed SQL 2. It doesn't always play nice for Volume Shadow Copy Service 3. When a job fails, if you are not actively monitoring it, getting to the actual cause can be a pain.
