It is software, you don't need HW appliances to do the discovery.
1- Perform scanning using active query for both IoT and OT devices for maximum visibility and authentic information as compared to Passive scans. 2- Does not require any configuration changes in the network like other solution requires span / Rspan to collect the information 3- Extremely useful for scanning a large number of devices.
1: Nondisruptive discovery capability. 2: Ability to detect configuration drift. 3: Centralized firmware management.
The platform doesn't have an option to acknowledge a raised alarm/issue. It keeps the list of found issues long even if you can confirm that they are not.
1- Due to its unique technology, Scanning is very fast and non intrusive . The only thing which needs improvement is add capability to scan OS based system , which is currently not available
