It makes container management extremely easy. Easy way to control and modify each container's settings. It is easy to set up and keep the product updated. The possibility of using OAuth.
I do like being able to easily scale an environment through Portainer. This is harder to achieve via a CLI, and it is nice to have Portainer available for this purpose.
It works well for monitoring multiple containers through a clean UI. It's very easy to sort/filter/search for specfiic containers by name/tag/etc. Also the UI is very clean and easy to navigate.
The container terminals are a bit clunky to use. The way stacks and app templates work can be a bit tricky at first. The community edition might have some limitations.
Portainer isn't very intuitive, and isn't a good replacement for doing most deployments via CLI. I would rather just do my work from a bash terminal instead of using Portainer most of the time.
At times, the UI can get clunky around finding/identifying containers. Sometimes the search is not fuzzy enough where it will find containers with the search terms we use.
