Both MarkLogic and Semaphore are state-of-the-art offerings that have allowed us to implement complex business cases in which context and networks are crucial for client's business goals. MarkLogic has been used for customer unicity projects, for order management unification and for semantic layer governance. And Semaphore has been used along with MarkLogic for processing thousands of leasing contracts to have conversational knowledge on all the contracts thus enabling the Facilities team to boost their productivity. The combination of these technologies has been used to streamline government processes and ensure they comply with the corresponding law.
Semaphore is excellently suited to our needs for maintaining, developing, and leveraging enterprise taxonomies, and its inclusion in the Progress Data Platform has seemed greatly beneficial for its ongoing development and for our ease of access to additional tools or other integrations.

In terms of features and performance, there is nothing to highlight. We must also take into consideration that these kind of technologies are always developing new versions and features, but given the purpose of the tools (data in context to have full visibility of the business) they deliver!
The scope of products and services available in the platform may be something of a double-edge sword in the sense that individual products might remain very specialized rather than continuing to be developed more broadly due to features and functionality being provided in other platform products. Sometimes an added feature is desirable but doesn't merit the addition of a whole new product from the customer perspective.
