SecurityScorecard Platform Likes & Dislikes

Like

Self guiding. It requires minimal effort to understand how to get this product up and running, providing near immediate coverage for any risk management team, regardless of how robust their program is.

Like

Ease of use, actionable findings, seamless integration

Like

SecurityScorecard excels in providing various reporting mechanisms (ability to generate reports for sharing and triaging with vendors; internal dashboards for tracking), prompt notification for breach detection (for monitored vendors), and the ease of use for adding/removing vendors, customizing reports, and setting up alert rules.

Dislike

occasionally we do encounter false positves detected on our network. However, we can submit a request to have them evaluated with our explanation and eventually get them removed.

Dislike

False positives identified that do not impact services provided by a third party, reporting capabilities have room for improvement,

Dislike

The pricing is a bit high and the platform seems a little behind in end-to-end vendor risk assessment capabilities. However, it is a great, complementary tool to the vendor risk assessment process.

Overall my experience with Security Scorecard has been highly positive. The platform offers robust capabilities for monitoring cyber risks across both internal assets and third party vendors. Dashboard is very intuitive, and its automatic alerting mechanisms have significantly enhanced our ability to manage risk and resolve issues. The platform is a valuable component of our cybersecurity framework, helping us in Third-party Risk Management as it covers a wide range of risk categories, including Data Breach. It also helps to reduce manual effort in the due diligence process during contract negotiation.
