Semarchy has robust functionality, is well-documented, has accessible and knowledgeable support professionals, is able to implemented without software developers and the tool scales very well.
I like that it is business facing and has the flexibility to customize a lot of options. The overall infrastructure follows an anti-pattern with most every other vendor we use, as Semarchy is the only application that is housed in AWS within the whole organization. We are an Azure shop. I don't believe Semarchy could be implemented on Azure at the time that Semarchy was implemented. This has changed since then, but we have not had the manpower to make the switch to Azure, or the SaaS solution due to the criticality of the Semarchy tool right now.
Love the Customizability of the GUI side.
As with any robust software, the learning curve can be steep. Additionally, as we expand the scope of our implementation, we're finding that we need to duplicate some relevant master data across domains. It would be great to be able to reference a table in another domain directly without having to replicate in its entirety within another domain.
I do not like the clunky ui. I feel as a developer and as a user the platform leaves a lot to be desired. I will preface this by saying we are on an older legacy product and the newer versions may provide better look and feel and functionality, but the version we are using is not the most intuitive overall and requires a crash course to even understand the basics it feels like.
Connecting Models so the items can easily talk to each other. Figuring out where any hold ups are and why they are happening. Pixel size of everything, this has been very difficult for me to wrap my head around. How do I know how wide a want a column in Pixel size. Some sort of reference, for those not familiar would be great.
