One of the best features is the data modelling flexibility, which enabled us to tailor the system to our specific business needs. Another interesting point is the possibility of defining business rules and validations to ensure data completeness and accuracy, which is really important for maintaining high quality of product data. Another point to not underestimate is the strong support and the community, Stibo offers a community board where a large numbers of users are daily talking about every question related to the product, exchanging opinions and asking for solutions. There is also a training academy where you can get knowledge of the product. Once per year there is a worldwide event full of presentations made by experts.

It's flexibility and scalability

Stability of the system. Flexibility in Data Modelling, support and help documentation. Low coding needs, 80% of our requirements can be done through configuration/without writing code. End user experience with WebUI is good. We have integrated STEP with multiple systems, which allows us to have a complete ecosystem for product master data.

First, theres the learning curve, especially for new users or non-technical stakeholders. Even if the platform is powerful and highly configurable, this complexity can make onboarding and training time consuming. Additionally, some configurations and workflows require significant technical expertise or support from consultants. Lastly, the training content in the Academy could be improved.

first line support is not efficent or helpful. Once you get your case escalated and get in contact with the experts then it works really well

The back end could be more user friendly. User licenses are not cheap, so we cannot make product data available for the whole company using STEP WebUI. Quality of support is inconsistent: first line support is slow to resolve or escalate issues more complex than changing configuration parameters, but once experts are involved, issues are handled effectively and swiftly.
