Data lineage capabilities are top-notch and have support for every kind of data flow within and between entities that one can think of. The product is easy to use with a well laid-out user interface. The product offers extensive customizations to cater to our unique needs. The deployment experience was smooth as Solidatus has built-in connectors that can interface with our databases, and the easy-to-use application needed little time before we can start modeling our data flows. We can observe clear ROI from this as teams get more familiar with the tool and can trace data flows which helps to inform their decisions, as well as to troubleshoot or investigate issues more thoroughly.
Solidatus is the best tool I have used for multi-dimensional data modelling. It's highly adaptable, easy to learn and ideal for CDOs and technology teams working across a range of data initiatives. The standout strengths include: 1) excellent temporal visualization and versioning capabilities, 2) flexibility to support a variety of data modelling approaches, and 3) a user-friendly experience that speeds up onboarding and collaboration.
Hard to find documentation on specific connectors Licenses only being able to be purchased in bundles has caused some friction - would like to see an alternative model based around consumption Licenses are required for training, which has delayed some people getting started on the tool. Would like to see a restricted training environment.
Nothing to dislike. New features are continually being implemented at a fairly quick pace hence we can observe that our needs are being catered to. The models can take a bit of time to load sometimes, but the team is constantly improving its performance. It's also best practice to create smaller atomic models and build composite models on top of them for best performance.
I do not have significant dislikes. Solidatus meets our needs very well, and I haven't encountered any major issues or weaknesses worth noting.
