Teradata has well engineered products that have continued to be refined over the years to meet changes in technology and keep up with industry trends. The lower administrative burden of their appliances and now their cloud hosted services help us to focus on generating value for the business rather than spending resources managing the environment. While capacity on demand is nice to have, we have appreciated the continued ability to keep costs down with capacity commitments.

While the hosted services remove work from our plate, the ability to make some system configuration changes now takes longer. Updates to incident and change requests are not always as informative and/or frequent as I would like. While extensive documentation is available, details on some items that I would expect the documentation to cover can only be found in support case comments.
