The easy to use platform is one of the best features, it's very straightforward to use out of the box with no technical skills. It integrates well with a number of third-party applications if you wish to extend the functionality and you can upload an unlimited number of courses.
It is simple to set up and use the course creation tools. It's easy to create checkpoints and set prerequisites, and it automatically tracks users' progress.
I like thta Thinkific makes it easy to build and launch courses without needing technical skills. The interface is intuitive, and everything from uploading content to setting up payments is streamlined.
A lot of features are locked behind high membership tiers, including basic features such as quizzes, which I believe should be included in all levels. Customisations can be a bit limited and you have to be at higher levels to white label and remove the Thinkific branding. Reporting provides metrics around progress and completion but more built-in advanced analytics would be great.
Course controls like video completion and disabling fast forwarding were initially part of our tier, but were moved to a higher with no notice or recourse for existing customers. This type of thing happened frequently, causing issues with learning integrity and audits. Not very customizable overall, and doesn't have many options to truly gamify/upsell/contact users. Onerous to use for professional continuing education. Missing several of what I consider to be standard features of an LMS.
I will say just 1 time, customer support was slower to respond than I would have hoped, and some key features like advanced customization or detailed analytics are only available on higher-tier plans.
