Partnership approach to scoping and prioritising the build, which helped to de-risk implementation and set the right expectations with business stakeholders on what would be MVP versus future improvements that were allowed for in the initial design.
1. Limited Mainframe Depth - While strong on cloud and modern practices, Thoughtworks' input on mainframe modernization lacked the same depth and specificity. 2. High-Level Language - Some strategy sections were overly conceptual, requiring translation into more actionable guidance by internal teams., 3. Knowledge Transfer Gaps - Not all consultants had equal insight into our complex domain and technology landscape, occasionally slowing alignment during workshops.
Due to some personnel changes during the project, the velocity of the delivery team was suffering slightly, as new team members had to be onboarded. This however only slowed the delivery down for a short period of time.
Honestly, I can't find any areas to dislike. What was delivered by Thoughtworks was clearly understood , including any limitations we had to accept to achieve the MVP in a very tight timeline.
