Product(s): Horizzon
Overall Comment:"The quality of biZZdesign services and products have been key elements to leverage Enterprise Architecture value proposition and to create valuable stakeholders' engagements. Furthermore, biZZdesign demonstrates a strong commitment to continuous improvement, regularly introducing relevant enhancements that reinforce the product's long-term value."
Based on standard metamodels. Multiple frameworks supported which allows efficient integration of different modelling practices such as portfolio management, business process management, decision model and notation, unified modeling language and others. Availability of a set of predefined techniques such as Business Model Canvas, Balanced Score Card, PESTEL, SWOT, etc. The intuitive and easy to adopt environment (HoriZZon and Enterprise Studio) for delivering the best value of the practice with agility and velocity. Rich capabilities to create engaging and customized dashboards. The integration of different sets technical capabilities are several layers that allow for different roles (enterprise architect, solution architect, portfolio manager, etc.) to come together inside the same platform.
The lack of flexibility in customizing the welcome screen of the SaaS product (would appreciate to be able to accept the customer's enterprise branding rules).
EA practice outcomes had to be shared with stakeholders. EA practice was lacking visibility and transparency. Enterprise Architects could not collaborate smoothly with other architects (solution, data, security, etc.) due to repository and tooling related issues. ICT teams lacking overview and understanding about business applications dependencies on technology assets. Business sectors having problems communicating efficiently with ICT teams due to terminology incompatibilities. Business applications owners complaining about the confusing ICT ecosystem and its interfaces and created dependencies into the application performance with the consequence of affecting the overall customer experience.
This time we would engage with BiZZdesign from the beginning. The experience and expertise of their staff really added value to our EA practice. Furthermore, their tools are simply amongst the very best in the market. Working with their tools and consultants allowed Enterprise Architects to reach their objectives smoother, faster, better and to achieve higher levels of stakeholders’ satisfaction.
Do not rely on the pragmatic approach to start building your EA practice with poor common productivity tools . It requires a serious and robust strategy to ensure the practice will be sustainable in the long term and at the same way providing you with solid basement for delivering immediate business-added value. Another key hint to take into account: think about the purpose of what you are about to undertake. What is it intended to deliver and is it going to precisely hit its target.
