We use ARIS to model, document and manage our business processes across teams and functions. It is our go-to platform for creating structured, reusable process landscapes that align business and IT. We find it exceptional because of its ability to centralize process knowledge, improve governance, foster collaboration, and promote business process transparency, while fostering BPM. For us, it has become a strategic enabler for operational excellence. It has a browser-based interface with BPMN 2.0 support for easy modelling, publishing, simulation and process mining. It acts as a central repository instead of having fragmented tools (e.g. Word, Visio,...) We can document our SOPs with RAVI matrices and metadata tagging for governance. ARIS also integrates with tools like GOptic for better assessment of automation potential, risk exposure and process completeness.

As the initial learning curve can be steep, we have a guided training and certification to ensure consistent usage across teams. Browser-based tools can always lag with complex diagrams. Limited flexibility for non-standard process formats. Collaboration features could be more intuitive.
