Overall Comment:"Our organisation has migrated from our old CMS platform to Storyblok and. left the implementation as a Lead developer. The transition has been fairly smooth and so far it has been a fantastic improvement for us. I really appreciate how intuitive the UI is for both us developers and our content editors who can be less technically minded. It’s all component based so you can build out your functionality out how you see fit and with it being headless it integrates well with all the modern frameworks; we used Next.js. From a developer perspective you can really see how powerful and flexible the APIs are once you get your head around the model. Overall I can highly recommend it. "
The initiative interface where a developer can build out complex UIs but the content editors get to see a nice easy to use front-end.
It might have improved now, but early on the documentation was very hit and miss, often leading to certain features being misunderstood. This led to some features being over-complex when in reality it was a simple misunderstanding of how the system works; all of this was learnt overtime and could have just been made clearer in the early stages when the concepts were new.
